I was in Orlando, Florida in March …. taking a little break

from Winter in the Northeast!

While I was there, I decided to check in on one of my “kids”......

Pictured above is one of several seats I sold to Universal Studios

in 2014. This former Yankee Stadium seat has lived a

second life over the past ten years now, greeting

& servicing fans patronizing

"THE HOT DOG HALL OF FAME",

located on Universal Studios City Walk district.

I was GREAT to see it again, and to

''cop a squat'' in it for a few moments!

So, if ANYONE out there is planning on visiting

Universal Studios Florida this summer, or in the near future,

I HIGHLY recommend you stopping by this restaurant

and grabbing a frank (or two) & fries!

They offer multiple frankfurter options,

served up in the local style of about two dozen different

US cities from coast to coast …. And their prices aren’t

crazy high either, or, at least not by

theme park standards, anyway!!

Here Are A Pair Of Ticket Stubs That Allowed Admission To The

FIRST New York Mets Home Game EVER Played At Shea Stadium

On April 17th, 1964 vs. The Pittsburgh Pirates.

Both Of These Stubs Are In REALLY Nice Overall Condition, As The Posted Photos Will Attest To!

The Two Original Box Seat Tickets That Generated These Stubs Were

Printed Back To Back & Were Used By Two Patrons

Who Went To The Game Together & Sat Side By Side.

Being This Was The First Game Hosted @ Shea, Some Of The Ticket Takers/Ushers

Were On The Job For Their FIRST Day. Thus, The Usher Who "Ripped"

These Two Tickets Inadvertently Made A "Happy Accident" On One Of Them,

As Painter Bob Ross Loved To Say!!

In Those Days, Ticket Takers Were Taught To Rip Each Ticket In Half ....

Ideally Along The Dotted Line. After That, Hand The TOP Portion Of The Ticket Back To The Patron.

The Top Portion Of The Ticket (With Mr. Met's Picture) Carried The RAIN CHECK Portion Of The Ticket.

The Rain Check Allowed The Patron To Exchange It For A Ticket For Another Game,

Should This Game Be Rained Out or Cancelled.

Well ..... Whomever Ripped These Tickets Goofed! After Ripping The Ticket For Seat #1,

He Handed The WRONG End Of The Ticket, a.k.a. The "Usher's Stub" Back To The Patron!

Conversely, The Patron Who Held The Ticket To Seat #2 Received The Correct Stub,

a.k.a. The "Rain Check Stub".

Usher Stubs Are Nearly IMPOSSIBLE To Find For This Game,

As 99.99% Of Them Were Collected At The Gates, Counted At The End Of The Day

& Then Trashed. So, The Only Ones Still In Existence Are Ones That Were Accidentally

Handed To Fans At The Turnstyles.

NOW, What Makes THESE Two Stubs So AMAZINGLY Awesome Is TWO Reasons:

ONE .... The Two Ticket Stubs Are IN Sequence. They Were Printed Side By Side

For The Same Field Level Box.

They Went To The Game Side By Side & Have Remained Side By Side For The Last 60 Years!
