Wall Pad 'Skin' From Shea Stadium!

This wooden shadowbox frame was assembled with pride

in the U.S.A. & measures approximately 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

Inserted inside it is a section of heavy duty vinyl/canvas

material that was once the outer 'skin' of a wall pad that served in

the former home ballpark of the New York Mets ..... Shea Stadium!

The painted side of the wall pad skin is not trapped behind glass.

Thus, you can see it & touch it too ... if you like!

This particular section of wall pad skin has been

BOLDLY & BEAUTIFULLY autographed by Mets fan favorite

HOWARD "HOJO" JOHNSON!

during a private signing held in Florida in April of 2026.

- Mr. Johnson has signed this (literal) "slice"

of Mets/Shea Stadium history in vibrant gold ink, and has

ALSO added his uniform number ("20"),

"LETS GO METS" and

1986 WORLD CHAMPS" ... all in his own hand! How cool?!!

- This display stands on its own, or can be hung on your wall.

- The wall pad 'skin' used to create this unique piece of

Metropolitan's sports history was authenticated by

Major League Baseball & carried

MLB Authenticated's hologram number SH-073663.

- It was authenticated in October of 2008 &

this serial number can be accessed on

MLB Authenticated's website, assuring all that this wall pad ....

the one used to create this item ..... IS 100% genuine!

& what this number pulls up when entered on MLB Authenticated's

on-line data base is posted below.

- This Shea Stadium wall pad was present for countless seasons/decades,

as well as for FINAL game ever played on September 28th, 2008.

Other then being wiped down with a damp cloth to remove any

surface dirt, this wall pad segment is exactly is it was

the day it was removed from "Big Shea".

Any/all imperfections you see to the wall pad segment were

'earned' from its tenure in the Queens ball yard.

This EXTREMELY rare model chair went into Shea Stadium in the 1990's
& served in one of two prime (elevated)
locations
on the Field/Main Level.

Only a few hundred of these seats were installed ....
and NONE were offered by The Mets and/or NYC in 2008!

This seat was NOT stripped & repainted by the Mets/NYC because it never
had any lead paint applied to it. Therefore, this seat is exactly as it was when
it was removed from "Big Shea" after the ballpark closed in the Fall of 2008!

The only "change" that has been done to it is the attachment of a FREE 6 inch replica
of the New York Mets logo, beautifully constructed from SEVERAL
layers of colorful thick acrylic plastic. Patches of this logo were worn by the Amazin's
on their uniform sleeves during Shea's final season. This logo has a magnetic back,
so it IS removeable, if for any reason you'd prefer this seat not to sport
this logo on its end aisle side.

This seat has been authenticated by Major League Baseball & sports a
tamper-proof serial numbered hologram on its silver seat number tag.
A screen capture of the serial number on this seat's MLB hologrammed
sticker is posted below - So rest ASSURED that this seat is 100% real!!

I recently acquired a small hoard of 'stray' seat back slats that

were "cut-aways" that resulted from splitting up the formally

connected rows of seats used in Crosley Field (Cincinnati)

from 1912 thru 1970.

The paint on these 114+ year old boards are ALL original.

The seat numbers were applied by me, via period brass stencils

the same size & font. So, being Tom Seaver was (arguably)

OUR favorite Reds player of all time, I thought I'd offer

these slats, sporting "41" in his honor!

- Slat measures 6" long by 3" wide by 5/8" thick
